Inspect

Pull Requests

Review code changes and resolve feedback without losing implementation context.

Overview

The Pull Requests page brings pull requests, automated findings, checks, and discussion into Inspect. You can inspect a working diff during a session, review the submitted pull request, and ask Inspect to act on specific feedback without recreating the implementation context.

Address feedback

Ask Inspect to address selected pull request review threads. It reads the discussion, updates the branch, verifies the result, and resolves only the feedback you authorized.

Automated review and approval

Review agent reviews pull requests with built-in and repository-specific skills, then reports actionable findings. Verification agent exercises changed behavior locally and publishes evidence. Approval agent evaluates repository policy and can approve eligible pull requests automatically.

Use Review agent to find defects and risks, Verification agent to confirm changed behavior, and Approval agent to decide whether a pull request meets your organization's approval policy. You can enable Review and Approval agents together and optionally wait for a successful review before Approval agent evaluates the pull request.

Review providers (alpha) show reviews from your own automated reviewer, such as another GitHub App, next to Review agent.

Real-life examples

Before human review: open a pull request in Pull Requests, inspect Review agent's findings, and ask Inspect to fix the concrete issues you agree with.

Address one thread: paste a linked review comment and say, “Address this review; do not change or resolve the other threads.”

Understand a large change: ask Inspect to explain the behavioral changes, risks, and missing coverage before deciding whether to approve.
