Meet JD Nelson
JD Nelson, owner and inspector of Imperial Inspection Services, spent 15 years in the United States Air Force and has years of experience working with HVAC systems. He joined the home inspection industry in 2011 as a Certified Professional Home Inspector by American Home Inspectors Training (AHIT). A year later, JD obtained the certification of Certified Professional Inspector through the International Association of Home Inspectors (InterNACHI). He is also a Certified Radon Measurement Technician and has a diverse background in the home inspection industry, filling positions from General Manager to Director of Expansion. JD has successfully completed over 3000 inspections throughout Iowa. He remains committed to bringing the values instilled in him during his military career, combined with thorough training and a hands-on approach, to each comprehensive home inspection.

When he’s not inspecting homes, JD loves spending time with his six-year-old son, family and friends. He enjoys building lasting relationships, sharing meaningful memories and showing his son the beauty of Iowa’s outdoors through the pastimes of hunting, fishing and football.
